Attire

What to Wear

Closed-toe shoes

Wet floors get slippery. Sandals are asking for trouble.

Cover up

Malaysia is a modest country, especially around markets and temples. Shoulders and knees.

Light clothes

Hot and humid all year. Something breathable.

Bring umbrella if rain looks likely

Afternoon rain is common October to March. Small umbrella fits in your pocket.

Not white

You will spill food on yourself. Darker colours hide mess.

Sunscreen and hat

Malaysian sun is brutal. You will be outside for hours.

Packing

What to Bring

Water bottle

Refill it at the stops. Skip the plastic cups.

Cash for souvenirs

Your tour covers all food and drinks. Bring cash for souvenirs.

Phone or camera

Markets are crowded. Do not drop it in curry.

Small bag

So your hands are free for eating.

Experience

What to Expect

Small groups

Join-in tours are 7 people max. Private tours are just your group.

3-4 hours of eating

6-8 stops. Skip breakfast before you come.

1-2 km of walking

Slow pace. Lots of stops to eat and listen.

Rain or shine

We go in all weather. You will get wet.

Guide orders for you

No menus. Your guide picks favourite dishes. Just say what you cannot eat.

Dietary Requirements
